Goal
After gathering the requirements from the stakeholders and worked on ideas the following were the goals of the project:

Create two responsive applications one for the university employees and retirees to search for discounts and another one for the HR Department to administer the discounts the employees will have access to when accessing the app.

Test Prototypes

To test the applications prototypes, I decided to conduct an in-person usability test using a prototyping tool.

Personas: Faculty, Staff and HR Employee (Admin)

The test was conducted with 5 participants for each persona.

A test for each application prototype (mobile and desktop) was conducted. We captured each participant’s navigational choices, task completion rates, and comments.

After analyzing the findings the prototypes were updated with the possible solutions and retested. Text and small layout changes where made to improve the user experience.  A total of 60 participants were part of the research.

Develop Designs

Once the possible solutions worked and the prototypes were updated. The designs were presented and handed-off to the web developers’ team and QA team to start with development of the two applications.
